Szany Electric's Claim to Fame

The Town of Schererville decided to move a really old log cabin. The cabin was built in 1847 and was located on Alexander Street by Bingo Lake. So they got some people to help them out, Szany Electric being one of them. Dad took the wiring out to help them get the thing moved. It was originally supposed to be moved on Tuesday July 29th but since AT&T wouldn't come out to make sure phone lines were not effected, the move was postponed. An article was put in the local paper placing all the blame on AT&T, you can visit that article at: http://nwitimes.com/articles/2008/07/30/news/lake_county/docc20578f9a034406a86257495007dd879.txt
So the move was rescheduled for Friday (today) August 1st. The boys & I went to witness this event as it's probably the only time in their lives they will get to see something this major happen. So we went to Alexander and 77th Street to watch it turn the first corner. My pictures didn't turn out so well from that part of it. We then went to Redar Park on Austin and waited for it while the kids played. These pictures turned out much better. So here is the historic event for the Town of Schererville and Szany Electric and the Grandsons of the owner of Szany Electric were their to witness it.
